Asbury is now seeking experienced General Managers to join their team as they continue to grow! We are looking for energetic individuals who know how to motivate and develop teams along with successfully managing the P&L of the dealership. 

The right candidate will have exceptional leadership skills and oversee the successful operation of the variable and fixed operations of the dealership. This is a very lucrative opportunity for the right individual.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Responsibilities and qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Hire, train, and motivate all variable department manager and sales staff
  • Proven track record in automotive retail industry as an automotive General Sales Manager, New Car Manager, Finance Director, and Used Car Manager required
  • Excellent business skills
  • Solid supervisory and leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring and growing employees
  • Ability to work a car deal from front to back efficiently 
  • Manage and oversee activities of variable operations
  • Hands on active manager that is involved in all aspects of the sales process
  • Work with general manager, sales, and finance management to meet monthly new/used/F&I objectives
  • Assist sales managers with ensuring volume commitments to the manufacturer are met.
  • Meets with sales/finance staff individually to develop monthly and annual goals and objectives, and to review actual performance
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel.
  • Communicates management policies and procedures to all Team Members’ attitudes and build morale. 
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Motivate, reward, and train employees
  • Maintain impeccable sales CSI scores
  • Help with inventory management
  • Responsible for making sure CIT list is resolved before deadlines 
  • Lead by example and ensure that the core values of the company are encompassed in behavior at all times.
  • Other duties to be determined by management 
  • 7-10 years of automotive experience highly preferred
  • Experience as an automotive GSM or General Manager required
  • Must be able to pass pre employment screening (background and drug)
