David McDavid Nissan of Houston, a subsidiary of Asbury Automotive Group (NYSE:ABG), which is one of the largest automotive retailers in the country with over 80 stores and 103 franchises, is currently looking for an Assistant Service Manager!

We are looking for an Assistant Service Manager to join our team, and help support our state of the art service facilities.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Assist with overseeing the service department, technicians, service advisors, service call center, valet, detailers and service lane
  • Help forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them
  • Work with the Parts Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
  • Work with shop foreman to ensure customers vehicles are serviced properly and in a timely manner
  • May attend manager meetings and conduct service dept. meetings
  • Help prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service dept.
  • Handle & resolving customer complaints
  • Motivate, train, develop and reward employees
  • Will communicate with customers about maintenance and service work needed effectively
  • Strong customer service skills are a must
  • Must be able to manage a team, motivate and develop
  • Experience with ADP or other automotive software
  • Experience as a technician or good technical aptitude
  • Must have 3+ years as an Automotive Service Writer/Service Assistant Manager
  • Must be able to manage in a fast paced work environment
  • Must be able to pass pre-employments screens (Background & Drugs)
