Overview

Asbury Automotive Group, a subsidiary of Asbury Automotive Group, a Fortune 500 company with over 80 stores and 103 franchises, is currently looking for an Assistant Accounting Manager! The assistant accounting manager plays an integral role in the management of the on-site accounting team that supports Asbury’s dealership general and department managers.

 The ideal candidate will have a MINIMUM of 3yrs previous accounting/Office management experience. Be accustomed to a fast paced environment and be a team player!

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Interact daily with dealership managers to resolve issues between the shared processing center and dealership managers
  • Routine review of operating reports per Asbury requirements
  • Assist direct reports with general human resource questions
  • Supervise compliance administrator and assist with deal flow and resolving problem deal and CIT issues
  • Hire, Train Counsel direct reports
  • Work with the title service provider to resolve documentation issues
  • Attend meetings regarding operations and workflow

  • Insure compliance with Asbury polcies and procedures and report deviation from these policies to Management

  • Other duties to be determined by management
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and investigative research skills are required
  • Computer literate; competence in ADP and other finance applications is preferred
  • Able to work independently and communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff and vendors
  • Process and solutions oriented, analytical and detailed oriented
  • Possesses strong people management and leadership skills
  • Must be able to pass pre employment screening (background and drug)
